[Case Study of Wooden Facility Renovation] Banna Park Wooden Path and Truss Bridge Overall
Appropriate renovation proposals are possible! Introducing cases where FRP materials have been used for the renovation of wooden paths and wooden bridges.
We would like to introduce the renovation case of the entire wooden path and truss bridge at "Banna Park (Ishigaki City, Okinawa)." This park, located at the foot of Mount Banna, features a vast area filled with diverse subtropical plants and the only natural spring pond on Ishigaki Island, surrounded by walking paths. Due to high temperatures and humidity, the existing wooden paths and bridges had deteriorated. For the material selection in the renovation work, FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) was chosen for its excellent corrosion resistance and salt damage resistance. 【Renovation Case】 ■ Renovation Details: Entire wooden path and truss bridge ■ Materials Used - Structural Material: Bongo wood → FRP - Decking: Bongo wood → FRP - Handrails: Bongo wood → FRP - Foundation: Pin foundation method (partially) Our company is capable of providing appropriate renovation proposals by combining various materials such as steel, aluminum alloys, FRP, recycled wood, and natural wood.
